abstract | POLYPHENYLENE OXIDE IS PREPARED USING A MIXTURE OF MANGANESE CHELATES AS A CATALYST Abstract of the Disclosure A process for the preparation of polyphenylene oxide employing a mixture comprising a manganese(II) oxime chelate Type (A) and a manganese chelate Type (B) as a catalyst is described. The catalyzed process can be effectively carried out in the presence as well as the ab-sence of an amine. The process is economical and useful in the production of polyphenylene oxide resins. |
