abstract | MANNICH BASES AND CARBAMIC ACID ESTER CATALYST SYSTEM FOR THE PRODUCTION OF ORGANIC POLYISOCYANATES Abstract of the Disclosure Soluble polyisocyanates of isocyanurate structure are produced by heating polyisocyanates in the presence of Mannich bases and carbamic acid esters of isocyanates and secondary alcohols. When such a process is used, the polymerization reactions begin without incubation times and the catalysts need not be inactivated by introducing additives because they deactivate themselves at high temperatures. These polyisocya-nates are useful in the production of highly flexible, flame-resistant polyurethane foams. |
