abstract ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to novel dimeric vinca alkaloid anhydro derivatives and to a process for preparing said anhydro derivatives which comprises con-tacting the dimeric vinca alkaloid with cold concentrated sulfuric acid. The anhydro derivatives are useful as mitotic inhibitors or as intermediates for the preparation of other oncogenetically active alkaloids.
