Brominated pentaerythritolic polyesters and process therefor |
abstract |
A B S T R A C T Polyesters are prepared by reacting penta-erythritol in the liquid phase with HBr and a dicarbox-ylic acid having at least four carbon atoms. Bromine replaces some of the hydroxyls in the pentaerythritol while controlled polymerization occurs between the pentaerythritol and the dicarboxylic acid. |
