Thermosetting powder coating composition of a blend of acrylic polymers having different glass transition temperatures and a blocked polyisocyanate cross-linking agent |
abstract |
ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A thermosetting polymer powder coating composition comprising finely divided powder particles that have a diameter of about 1-100 microns wherein the powder particles are a blend of (A) a hard acrylic polymer having a high glass transition temperature; (B) a soft acrylic polymer having a low glass transition temperature; (C) a blocked organic polyisocyanate; (D) a hydroxy functional plasticizers; and (E) catalytic amount of an organometallic compound; the thermosetting powder coating composition is particularly useful as an exterior finish for automobile and truck bodies. |
