titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF 7-(D-(.alpha.-AMINO)-PHENYLACETAMIDO)-3-DESACETOXY-CEPHALOSPORANIC ACID
abstract ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The process comprises the following steps: - silylation is acetonitrile of 7-amino-3-methyl- 3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid (II) of formula: with a silyating agent chosen from the group comprising of hexaalkyldisi-lazane and N1,N2-bis-(trialkylsilyl)-urea in which the alkyl groups have from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, - addition of D-phenylglycinechloride hydrochloride in the presence of urea obtaining an acetonitrile solution of a condensation product og said silylated acid (II) with D-phenylglycinechloride hydrochloride, - hydrolysis of the said condensation product by adding water to the acetonitrile solution obtaining said product (I) dissolved in the said solution, - predpitation of the said product (I) to its isoelectric point, - separation of the said precipitated product (I), - restructuration of the separated product (I).
