abstract ABSTRACT Process for the preparation of terpeno-phenoxy-alkylamines of general formula: (I) in which: -R2 and R3 each represents a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl radical? lower than straight or branched chain having up to 4 carbon atoms, or a hydroxyethyl radical -R4 is a terpene radical chosen from the following group: (2) 2-isobornyle (5) 5-camphyle or 2-norbornyle (2) exo or endo configuration, in ortho, meta or para position with respect to the ether function, - R5 and R6 may each be H, an alkyl radical lower than straight or branched chain having up to 4 atoms carbon, or a halogen atom, and their acid salts non-toxic and the quaternary ammonium salts, characteristic erected in that it includes: (a) the condensation of an alkali metal terpenophenate of formula: in which M is an alkali metal, R4, R5, R6 are defined as above, with epichlorohydrin to form the derivative terpeno-phenoxy-1 epoxy propane-2,3 corresponding: and (b) the reaction of the derivative obtained with ammonia or a amino of formula HNR2R3 or R2, R3, are defined as above to obtain the desired terpeno-phenoxy-alkylamine that we optionally transforms into salts in a known manner into? oi. The compounds prepared according to the invention are in particular agents bacteriostatic.
