abstract PRECISION OF DISCLOSURE: Trimethylol propane ester composition, usable as a lubricant base for automobile engines, consisting essentially in the product of the total esterification of the trimethylol-propane by a plurality of carboxylic acids saturated aliphatics consisting of a proportion of 6 to 33% in carboxylic equivalents of at least one dicarboxylic acid linear or branched, from 4 to 19 carbon atoms and a proportion from 94 to 67% in carboxylic equivalents of a mixture monocarboxylic acids, said ester composition being characterized in that said mixture of monocarboxylic acids comprises: a) from 5 to 90%, in moles, of at least one weak acid-branched which contains from 15 to 30 carbon atoms and b) 95 to 10%, in moles, of at least one linear acid which contains from 2 to 30 carbon atoms.
