"use of the homeopathic drug complex as a protective cite" the homeopathic drug complex marketed with the masterful formula containing mainly aconitum napeilus, bryonia alba, thuya occidentalis, arsenicum and lachesis, was developed for the treatment of cancer by francisco canova in argentina, around 1950. and since 1998 research is being developed at ufpr in order to clarify the mode of action of this drug. the drug target cells were found to be macrophages. Since the great plasticity and diversity of immune responses derive from the modulation of gene expression of cells, and through experiments with the drug there were modifications in gene expression, new perspectives of use of this drug are proposed. In these experiments, the expression of genes encoding proteins normally expressed under stress conditions was observed. To protect cells and tissues from the toxicity of various molecules, cells induce the expression of cytoprotective genes. therefore the drug can be used as a protective against the side effects of a wide variety of conventional, chemotherapeutic, anti-viral, etc. medications. |
