titleOfInvention | extractive fermentation process and its use |
abstract | EXTRACTIVE FERMENTATION PROCESS AND USE OF THE SAME. The present invention relates to an extractive fermentation process. More specifically, the present invention relates to an extractive fermentation process employing a single solvent capable of simultaneously removing products and inhibitors and cooling the medium. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of the process. Specifically, the present invention relates to the use of biodiesel, such as soybean, corn, castor, oil palm, macauba, macauba, among others, as a biocompatible extractor for in situ product extraction and / or fermentation inhibiting components, specifically the fermentation product and inhibiting compounds present in musts derived from hydrolytic processes of lingocellulosic feedstock, starch, directly extractable carbohydrates, heavily depleted molasses with high inhibitor content such as biotin, or similar carbohydrate-rich musts, as well as for cooling the fermentation medium by the solvent itself. |
