abstract 1-Hydroxy-2-o-acyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholines compounds, preparation process, and compositions comprising such compounds. The present invention relates to novel compounds 1-oh-2-acyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholines and their analogs, pure or in mixture, with formula wch2chxch2po3ych2ch2z, where w is preferably a hydroxyl group or an o-acyl group containing from 02 to 22 carbon atoms and where x is preferably a 0-acyl group containing from 02 to 22 carbon atoms or a hydroxyl (oh) and where y may be one or o and where z is preferably a trimethyl ammonium group [n ^ + ^ (ch ~ 3 ~) ~ 3 ~] may be a protonated dimethyl ammonium group [n ^ + ^ h (ch ~ 3 ~) ~ 2 ~]. In 0-acyl groups containing 18 carbon atoms, from 0 to 3 unsaturation may be observed; useful as biocidal agents, processes for their preparation and compositions comprising such compounds.
