abstract | suspensions for the preparation of biosilicate based scaffolds, bone grafts obtained and processes for obtaining them. biosilicate-based suspensions for preparing bone grafts (scaffolds) are described. the suspensions comprise, in relation to the total volume of the suspension, 10-50% solids consisting of 50 to 98% porogenic agent and 2 to 50% biosilicate <32> and 50 to 90% liquids consisting of 0, 5-15% binder and 85 to 99.5% liquid medium. in a preparation process, (110) binder, liquid medium and biosilicate <32> are mixed into a suspension, in (120) the suspension is ground, in (130) the porogenic agent is added, in (140) is made mixing the suspension with the porogenic agent, (150) the mixture is dried to a powder, (160) the obtained powder is sieved, (170) the powder is formed into molds of any geometry, (180) the product The shaped shell is burned and (190) the final scaffold product is recovered. The bone grafts obtained by this process have total porosity ranging from 65 - 95% and average pore size between 100 and 600 <109> m. |
