insulation layer of substantially non-expansive biosoluble inorganic fibers of high resistance. an insulation mat with inorganic biosoluble fibers of high resistance (10) contains high temperature resistant alkaline earth silicate fibers (42) and, optionally, additional non-breathable inorganic fibers, characterized by the fact that the insulation mat (10 ) has a structure of partial interlacing fibers (42) and an organic content of less than 20% by weight, before exposure to temperatures of at least 600Âșc. a process for producing the insulation blanket (10) includes preparing wet paper (30) or sheet comprising high temperature resistant fibers (42) and, optionally, at least one organic binder or inorganic binder; and weaving or entangling the fibers (42) in the wet paper (30) or sheet, before drying. |
