The present invention is directed to a vehicle tire having a pair of tire bead components spaced apart from each other, a connection housing between said bead components, and a rubber friction protector positioned around at least of a part of each of the said tire bead components, intended for contact with a rigid wheel rim, wherein said friction protector consists of an outer coating layer intended for contact with the rigid rim and a core layer internal radially disposed into the coating layer.
