plant biomass treatment process. The present invention relates to an energy efficient process for the treatment of plant biomass, in particular sugarcane, for the production of carbohydrates and ethanol, from physicochemical and extraction techniques, as simpler grinding configurations, minimizing thus the energy consumption during the extraction of sugarcane juice. The biomass treated and obtained by this process, when subjected to a fermentative process for ethanol production, increases the process yield when compared to traditional sugarcane. It can also be used for the production of enzymes, feed and other useful products. |
