titleOfInvention | chemical signal of organic solvent vapors and use thereof |
abstract | CHEMICAL SIGNALER OF VAPORS FROM ORGANIC SOLVENTS AND USE OF THE SAME The present invention refers to a signal of the presence of organic solvents in the air, easy to prepare, using low cost materials. More specifically, the present invention relates to a signal for the detection of organic solvent vapors composed of a substrate for the deposition of an oxide film, a metal oxide film and a signaling dye, which is based on reversible color changes of joints of the metal oxide / dye type as a function of the concentration of vapors of organic solvents and / or fuels in an environment. The signaler can be visual or attached to a reading and audible signaling equipment. Thus, the present invention enables the continuous monitoring of organic solvent vapors (from handling, leaks, etc.), in order to provide less unhealthy and safer workplaces. |
