abstract |
RECOMBINANT PEPTIDES AND MIMETIC PROTEIN REASONS TO LEISHMANIA ANTIGENS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS. The present invention relates to the selection, characterization and use of recombinant peptides, their reverse sequences and protein motifs that mimic partial antigenic regions of Leishmanian proteins and antigens of diagnostic and vaccine interest for diseases caused by Leishmania parasites. The peptides object of this invention were selected by "Phage Display" and are targets for use in immunodiagnostics and in vaccine compositions to control the different types of disease caused by parasites of the aforementioned genus because they are specifically immunoreactive with the serum of infected individuals. |
