titleOfInvention | "Apparatus for magnetically treating a fluid, suction rod pumping system and method for exposing a fluid to a magnetic field." |
abstract | Apparatus for Magnetically Treating a Fluid, Suction Rod Pumping System and Method for Exposing a Fluid to a Magnetic Field The present invention relates to a suction rod pumping system including rare diametrically charged earth magnets which have significant monopolar characteristics mounted on the rod string and optionally within a magnetic drum below the pump drum. The magnets are coated to prevent contact with crude oil. magnets subject the oil to significant magnetic flux to substantially prevent paraffin and asphaltene precipitation with a minimum of retrofitting of existing equipment and without substantially altering the function of the rod bead. |
