Automotive laminate glazing, suitable for use with an optical sensor, and use of automotive laminate glazing Automotive use laminated glazing, suitable for use with an optical sensor (eg a handle type sensor), comprises first and a second thickness measurement of the glazing material joined together by a thickness measurement of interleaving material between them, and either of: a) the first thickness measurement is a stained glass body panel having a colored portion consisting of 0.70 to 1.00% by weight of total iron (calculated with fe203), o to 1.0% titania and o to 2.0% ceria, such that the glazing has a transmittance of at least 30% in the wavelength range 400 to 2100 nm, or (b) the first measure of thickness of the glazing material is a panel having a colored portion consisting of 0.30 to 0.80 by weight of total iron (calculated as fe20 3) oa 1 the% ti t (calculated as ti02) and 2.0% ceria (calculated as ce02), and the thickness measurement of the interleaving material is a solar energy absorbing material (ir) such that the glazing has a transmittance of at least 30 % in the wavelength range 750 to 1300 nm. |
