titleOfInvention COMPOSITE MATERIAL, PROCESS OF PREPARING A COMPOSITE MATERIAL, USE OF A COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND CIGARETTE FILTER
abstract COMPOSITE MATERIAL, PROCESS OF PREPARING A COMPOSITE MATERIAL, USE OF A COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND CIGARETTE FILTER. The invention relates to a highly cohesive composite material, formed from at least one polymer and at least one compound chosen from mineral oxides, silico-aluminates and active carbon, said composite material having: an average particle size of at least 100 µm, a pore volume (V dl ), consisting of pores with a diameter between 3.6 and 1000 nm, of at least 0.2 cm3/g, a cohesion such that its rate of particles smaller than 100 µm obtained after an air pressure resistance of 2 bars is less than 1.5%, preferably equal to 0.0%, by volume. It also relates to a process for preparing composite material. It also refers to the use of this composite material as a liquid support, catalyst support, additive or for liquid or gaseous filtration, in particular in cigarette filters.
