monoclonal antibody or antibody fragment, methods for reducing, blocking, inhibiting, or neutralizing inflammation, pruritis and scratching in a mammal, and, isolated antibody. novel compositions derived from immunoglobulin antigen binding sites having affinity for il-3 1 are obtained. The compositions exhibit immunological binding properties of antibody molecules capable of binding specifically to a human il-3 1. cdr regions derived from the same or different immunoglobulin groups are obtained. single chain polypeptides are also obtained to which the vh and vl domains are linked. sfv molecules may include ancillary polypeptide groups that may be bioactive, or that provide a binding site for other useful groups. The compositions are useful in specific binding assays, affinity purification schemes, toxin or drug selection, imaging, and immunological or genetic therapeutic agents for inflammatory diseases. The invention thus provides novel polypeptides, DNA encoding those polypeptides, expression cassettes comprising those DNAs, and methods of inducing polypeptide production. The invention further provides the amino acid sequences of the variable regions of monoclonal antibodies and the use of these monoclonal antibodies or antibody fragments together with a human igg4 fc molecule. |
