titleOfInvention | Methods for treating a portion of an underground formation, for positioning a gravel filler in a portion of an underground formation, for producing hydrocarbons from an underground formation, and for preparing a viscous treatment fluid |
abstract | METHODS FOR TREATING A PART OF AN UNDERGROUND FORMATION, FOR POSITIONING A FILLENESS TO A PART OF AN UNDERGROUND FORMATION, TO PRODUCE HYDROCARBONS FROM AN UNDERGROUND FORECAST AND FORECAST. The present invention relates to viscous treatment fluids used in oil well and gas well stimulation and completion operations, and more particularly to viscous treatment fluids comprising xanthan gelling agents. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a method for treating a portion of an underground formation comprising the steps of: providing a viscous treatment fluid comprising water and a gelling agent comprising a modified xanthan; and treat the portion of the underground formation. The present invention also provides fracturing methods, gravel fillers, acidification with viscous treatment fluids. viscous treatment fluid compositions and gelling agent compositions are also provided. |
