abstract | USE OF A MUSCARINIC AGONIST The invention relates to a new use of compounds and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof which are muscarinic agonists, in particular muscarinic-1 (Ml). These compounds are useful for the preparation of drugs for the treatment, relief or prevention of impulse control disorders. These include impulse control disorders Not Classified Elsewhere, such as intermittent explosive disorder, pyromania, kleptomania, pathological gambling mania and trichotillomania; and Otherwise Unspecified impulse control disorders, such as: compulsive shopping disorder, food hunger attacks and drink hunger attacks, self-injurious impulse behavior, such as pathologically pricking the skin, biting nails and stick your finger in the nose, ocular self-mutilation, head banging and self-biting; paraphilic sexual addictions, lack of control of a person's sexual impulses, including exhibitionism, fetishism, frotourism, pedophilia, masochism, sadism, transsexual fetishism and vouyerism, as well as compulsive use of the Internet and excessive use of cell phones. |
