abstract |
antioxidant compositions for reducing odor in lubricating compositions that heat up. The present invention relates to clear, substantially anhydrous, heatable compositions containing one or more polyhydric alcohols. the invention also relates to compositions which include at least one or more antioxidant or antioxidants in combination selected from the group consisting of tocopherol, ascorbic acid and butylated hydroxytoluene (bht), to prevent oxidation of the polyhydric alcohol combination which results in growth of the odor. |
