titleOfInvention Solar cell using high transmission low iron content glass and corresponding method
abstract SOLAR CELL USING GLASS WITH HIGH TRANSMISSION AND LOW IRON CONTENT AND CORRESPONDING METHOD. The present invention relates to a glass with high transmission and low iron content, which is highly oxidized, for use in solar cells or the like. In certain exemplary embodiments, the glass composition used for glass is a glass composition of the low iron content type, which is highly oxidized, thus allowing the glass to perform a combination of high visible transmission (Lta or T ~ vis ~ ) high infrared (IR) transmission, and high total solar transmission (TS). These characteristics can be achieved without the need for antimony in certain exemplary cases. The glass substrate used in a solar cell can be stamped in certain exemplary embodiments of this invention.
