titleOfInvention | process for the treatment of warm-blooded animals, including humans, suffering from a disease related to inflammatory cytokine overproduction |
abstract | PROCESS FOR THE TREATMENT OF HOT BLOOD ANIMALS, INCLUDING HUMAN BEINGS, SUFFERING FROM A DISEASE RELATING TO AN OVERPRODUCTION OF INFLAMMATORY CYTOKINES The invention relates to the use of immunomodulatory compounds for the treatment of diseases related to an overproduction of inflammatory cytokines, such as inflammatory cytokines diseases selected from the group consisting of asthma, atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, prostatitis, allergic bowel disease, diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis, said compounds being of general formula (1), in which: men, independently of each other, are a number integer ranging from 1 to 4; X and Y represent COOH; -O- P (O) (0H ~ 2 ~); -O-SO2 ~ 2 ~ (OH); -NH ~ 2 ~; -OH; -CO-NH (CH ~ 2 ~) n ~ 1 ~ -NH ~ 2 ~ -CONH-CH (COOH) - (CH ~ 2 ~) n ~ 1 ~ -COOH; -CO-NH-CH (COOH) (CH ~ 2 ~) n ~ 1 ~ - NH ~ 2 ~; -O-CO- (CH ~ 2 ~) n ~ 1 ~ -NH ~ 2 ~ - -O-CO- (CH ~ 2 ~) n ~ 1 ~ -OH; -O-CO- (CH ~ 2 ~) n ~ 1 ~ -COOH; -O-CO- (CH ~ 2 ~) n ~ 1 ~ -CHO; -O-CO- (CH ~ 2 ~) n ~ 1 ~ -NH-CO (CH ~ 2 ~) n ~ 2 ~ -COOH; R ^ 1 ^ and R ^ 2 ^ each designates an acid group derived from a straight or branched, saturated or unsaturated carboxylic acid, having from 2 to 18 carbon atoms, which is unsubstituted or bears one to three substituents, selected from hydroxyl, dihydroxyphosphoryloxy, alkyl of 2 to 18 carbon atoms, alkoxy of 2 to 18 carbon atoms, acyloxy of 2 to 18 carbon atoms in the water, amino, and acylamino. |
