COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR THE TRANSPORT OF MOLECULES WITH IMPROVED RELEASE PROPERTIES THROUGH BIOLOGICAL BARRIERS Conjugations of a charge molecule with a carrier molecule are proposed, in which the charge molecule and the carrier molecule are covalently linked by a release agent. The conjugate charge can be a biologically active agent or a reporter molecule. The carrier modulates the transport of the load through a biological barrier (a cell membrane, for example) compared to the transport of the unconjugated load. Releasable binders suitable for quick and easy conjugation to different types of cargo and carriers are also proposed, along with methods for using binders in the synthesis of conjugates. |
