PURIFICATION AND USE OF A FACTOR TO HELP WOUND HEALING A process for making a composition containing a purified factor to help heal a wound selected from the group consisting of Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF), Platelet-derived Growth Factor (PDGF), Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), Transforming Growth Factor alpha (TGF- <244>), Transforming Growth Factor beta (TGF- <225>), Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF-I) and Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF) from sources such as blood, containing the factor to aid wound healing, in which the manufacturing process comprises purification steps which are carried out in the presence of antithrombin III (AT-lII ). |
