abstract | SYSTEMS FOR PREVENTION OF HAP EMISSIONS AND EFFICIENT DRYING / DEHYDRATION PROCESSES. This invention provides systems, apparatus and methods for drying or dehydrating high moisture content raw materials to dry or decrease moisture in the products. Equipment systems comprise a gas turbine generator unit (preferred heat source), a dryer tank, and a processing unit, where the connection between the gas turbine and the dryer tank directs substantially all exhaust from the gas turbine. into the dryer tank and considerably eliminates the introduction of air into the dryer tank, and in which the processing unit molds the dried material from the dryer tank into granules, pellets, flakes or other desired shape for the final product. Apparatus and methods of this invention also provide for preventing the release of PAH emissions, including VOC emissions, from manufacturing facilities in conjunction with or independent of above treatment of high water content feedstock. |
