polymeric film, method of preparation and use the present invention provides edible polymeric films containing photosensitive substances. in particular, the polymeric film is a mixture of a polysaccharide of biological origin, such as alginate, with a hydrophobic polysaccharide, in particular octenyl succinate starch, and photosensitive substances are chosen from several classes, especially antioxidants such as vitamin c. the present invention is also directed to methods for the preparation of this film, and its use in various materials, in particular as edible films capable of increasing the shelf life of various products, in particular foods such as fruits, vegetables and sausages. |
