abstract | water-insoluble methacrylate copolymer, method of producing a water-insoluble methacrylate copolymer, and medical device. an object of the present invention is to provide a surface treatment agent excellent in terms of antithrombogenicity and therefore excellent in terms of biocompatibility, and having high hydrophilicity compared to conventional medical materials. furthermore, an object of the present invention is to provide a production method of excellent performance to remove unreacted monomers and still improve a yield, if compared to conventional production methods. the present invention relates to a water-insoluble copolymer comprising alkyl methacrylate and methoxypolyethylene glycol methacrylate. The present invention also relates to a method for producing a water-insoluble methacrylate copolymer by copolymerizing alkyl methacrylate and methoxypolyethylene glycol methacrylate in a common polymerization solvent. further, the present invention relates to a method for purifying methacrylate copolymer by purifying the methacrylate copolymer by reprecipitation using a mixed solution of an alcohol having 1 to 10 carbon atoms and water. |
