abstract VIA MICROINTENSIFIER. The present invention is a Micro Intensifier and Vein that includes a Microprojection Head. The Microprojection Head can be operated in one of three modes, AFM5, DBM and RTM. The Microprojection Head of the present invention projects an image of a patient's veins, which assists the professional in locating a vein for an intravenous infusion, blood test and the like. The microprojection head may have a cavity for an energy source or it may have an energy source located in a portion of the body of the Vein Micro Intensifier. The Vein Micro Intensifier can be attached to one of several improved needle protectors, or the Vein Micro Intensifier can be attached to a body similar to a flashlight for manual use. The Vein Micro Intensifier of the present invention can also be attached to a magnifying lens, a flat panel display, and the like.
