<B> INSECTICIDE CRYSTAL PROTEIN GENE ISOLATED FROM BACILLUS THURINGIENSIS, RECOMBINANT DNA CONSTRUCT, MICROORGANISM AND INSECTICIDE CRYSTAL PROTEIN FROM BACILLUS THURINGIENSIS <D> The present invention relates to the isolation, cloning and use of genes from the protein genes of the insecticide Baclilus thuringiensis. The present invention isolates a new gene from the insecticidal crystal protein cry7Bal from B. thuringiensis, subspecies huazhongensis, strain YBT-978, and said gene encodes a new insecticidal crystal protein cry7Bal, which has insecticidal activity against insects Lepidoptera. The present invention also describes the gene sequence of the new insecticidal crystal protein, uses expression vectors suitable to transform microorganisms in order to express the Cry7Bal product encoded by the gene and does this to exert the insecticidal activity of the protein against Lepidoptera pests. |
