abstract <B> RECONSTITUTED TOBACCO WITH CONNECTED FLAVOR, SMOKE ARTICLE AND METHODS <D> The present invention relates to a process for producing a reconstituted tobacco feedstock which is provided which includes: preparing a heated mixture (110). ) water and sugar; providing a liquid flavoring (120) such as menthol; mixing tobacco particles, water and a gum binder (140) with the water and sugar mixture (110) and flavoring (120) to form a reconstituted tobacco mixture (160); and forming (170) the reconstituted tobacco blend (160), such as by melting or extruding the reconstituted tobacco blend (160) into a reconstituted tobacco feedstock. The exemplary menthol-reconstituted tobacco products provided herein allow high levels of menthol to be retained in a tobacco product.
