abstract METHOD OF PROCESSING A MATRIX OF STARTING IN THE FORM OF RESIDUAL GROSS METALLURGIC SLAG. The invention provides a method of processing a starting material in the form of a crude metallurgical slag containing metal oxide to obtain a processed slag product. The method includes co-mixing the crude slag with a reducer to obtain a reaction mixture and heating the reaction mixture to make the reducer reduce the metal oxide in the slag, to obtain molten metal and melt processed slag. The method further includes separating the melt-processed slag to solidify, thereby obtaining a solid product from the processed slag. This processed slag product can be, as desired, a filler for use in the manufacture of blocks or for use in the formulation of a concrete mixture of quick mash, an expander for expansion or to produce a mixed cement, or an aggregate for iso in industry building construction.
