process for obtaining a natural concentrate, rich in hydroxytyrosol, from olive residues and by-products, using clean technologies. The present invention refers to a process for obtaining a natural concentrate, bioactive, rich in hydroxytyrosol, from olive residues and by-products, using clean technologies. these technologies comprise supercritical fluid extraction, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis, which are used individually or in an integrated mode. the natural extract comprises a minimum concentration of 15% (mass fraction) of hydroxytyrosol and a maximum concentration of 98% (mass fraction) of this compound. the hydroxytyrosol rich concentrate exhibits antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and anticarcinogenic activities, which are superior to the activities observed for hydroxytyrosol alone, in equivalent concentration, the hydroxytyrosol rich concentrate can be prepared in the form of solid particles, as a aqueous solution, in emulsion or as lipid-based nanoparticles. the industrial application comprises the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. |
