abstract | PROCESS FOR THE EXTRACTION OF LACTIC ACID FROM A WATER SUSPENSION THAT UNDERSTANDS SOLIDS. The invention relates to a process for the continuous extraction of lactic acid from an aqueous suspension containing solids. According to said process, the aqueous suspension comprising solids is brought into contact, in a countercurrent, with an organic solvent that is partially miscible with water, in a column with filling agents that have a surface consisting of a material hydrophobic, in such a way as to form an aqueous phase and an organic phase, such that the organic phase is directed as a dispersed phase towards a section of the column comprising filling elements. |
