abstract |
method for the in vitro determination of thrombin activity in a sample and kit. the present invention relates to a method for the in vitro determination of thrombin activity in a sample, in which the sample is a blood sample and the generation of thrombin is measured by the steps of: putting a layer of said sample in contact with a fluorogenic substrate of thrombin, wherein said layer has a thickness within a range of 0.05 to 5 mm and a surface within a range of 10 to 500 mm2; allow the generation of thrombin in said sample; measure the fluorescence emitted from the surface of the layer, by the fluorescent group released from the fluorogenic substrate as a result of the enzymatic action of thrombin generated in said fluorogenic substrate. |
