abstract | COATED PARTICULARS, METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME, COLORIAL DISPOSAL OF COATED PARTICULES, USE OF COATED PARTICULES, COATING COMPOSITION, AND THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. The invention relates to coated particles comprising particles and a cross-linked polysiloxane coating and to a process for the manufacture of said coated particles. Further, the invention relates to the use of coated particles to improve surface properties of articles and to material compositions comprising coated particles, in particular coating compositions. According to the invention there are provided coated particles comprising particles having a surface having functional hydroxy groups and a cross-linked polysiloxane coating comprising a polysiloxane disilanol reaction product according to formula (I), wherein n is 1 to 25, and wherein each R is the same or different hydrocarbon group and a coating crosslinking agent whose polysiloxane coating is at least partially grafted to the particle surface by reaction of the functional hydroxy groups on the particles. Coated particles can be used to provide improved particle surface properties in coatings. |
