perfume composition, fragrant product, method of separating a biofilm from a surface, and use of a perfume ingredient. Perfume ingredients have been investigated and rated for their effectiveness in separating biofilms from surfaces. Based on this classification, perfume compositions, which are effective in aiding biofilm separation, can be formulated, while also allowing a degree of freedom in the formulation, which allows consideration of the composition's hedonic properties. The compositions may be used in a wide range of fragrant consumer products, such as personal, household and industrial products, e.g. hard surface cleaners, dental care products and deodorant products. |
