METHODS FOR TREATING A VIRAL INFECTION CAUSED BY HERPES VIRUS IN OR ON A MUSCLE'S SKIN OR MEMBRANES, TO KILL OR INACTIVATE MICROORGANISMS, TO TREAT AND / OR PREVENT A VIRAL INFECTION IN THE MAMPHONE HERPES TISSUE IN OR ON THE SKIN OR MUSCLE MEMBRANES OF AN INDIVIDUAL AND TO TREAT VIRAL INFECTION IN OR ON THE MUSCLE SKIN OR MEMBRANES OF AN INDIVIDUAL, AND, TOPICAL ANTIVIRAL COMPOSITION. Antiviral compositions, especially those useful when applied topically, in particular to mucosal tissues (i.e. mucosal membranes), including, in particular, an antiviral lipid component, such as fatty acid esters, fatty ether, or alkoxide derivatives thereof. Such compositions provide effective topical antimicrobial activity and are therefore useful in treating and / or preventing conditions that are caused or aggravated by microorganisms (including viruses). |
