titleOfInvention qt interval control methods
abstract QT INTERVAL CONTROL METHODS. The present invention relates to methods of controlling cardiac ventricular depolarization and, therefore, QT interval depolarization in therapeutically useful ways in a subject comprising administering to the subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a compound selected from the group consisting of Formula (I) and Formula (II), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester thereof: Formula (I) and Formula (II) wherein phenyl is substituted at X with one to five halogen atoms selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine; and R ~ 1 ~, R ~ 2 ~, R ~ 3 ~, R ~ 4 ~, R ~ 5 ~ and R ~ 6 ~ are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and C ~ 1 ~ -C ~ 4 ~ alkyl ; wherein C 1 -C 4 alkyl is optionally substituted with phenyl, wherein phenyl is optionally substituted with substituents independently selected from the group consisting of halogen, C 1 -C 4 alkyl, C 1-1 -C 1-4 alkoxy, amine, nitro and cyano.
