titleOfInvention | fracture suspensions that can be stored containing ultralight weight carriers in xanthan gum based vehicles and process of using them |
abstract | "FRACTURE SUSPENSIONS WHICH MAY BE STORED CONTAINING ULTRALEVE WEIGHT BRACKETS IN XANTHANE GUM-BASED VEHICLES AND THE SAME USE PROCESS". The present invention relates to a suspension which may be stored for the treatment of an underground formation containing an ultra light weight particulate (ULW) and a xanthan gum carrier fluid or a variation of xanthan, a polysaccharide and water. The suspension exhibits high viscosity at low shear rates and does not appear to be separated for at least one week. The weight ratio of polysaccharide: xanthan in the suspension that can be stored is from about 8: 1 to about 1: 8. Prior to introducing the suspension into the formation, a foam agent may be added, preferably in an amount sufficient to produce a foam quality of from about 30 to about 98. |
