| abstract | PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF BOTTLE SOAP, CALCIUM SOAP PRODUCED BY THE SAME AND ITS USE IN ANIMAL FEED. The present invention relates to a process for producing calcium soaps for animal feed. The invention is a process for the production of calcium soaps, comprising saponification of natural fats and oils with CaO, in which the reaction mass is heated and subjected to reduced pressure. In this way, calcium soaps having a fatty acid content of greater than 80% can be obtained without requiring any subsequent washing or concentration process. Said fatty acid content makes soaps particularly suitable for use as a feed component. The applicability of said soaps to feed monogastric animals is enhanced by addition of glycerol and / or other emulsifying agent during the soap making process. |
