reinforced structure comprising a cement matrix and zinc coated metal elements. The present invention relates to a reinforced structure comprising a cement matrix and zinc coated metal elements. The structure comprises, at least at the interface of the zinc coated metal elements with the cement matrix, a compound selected from the group consisting of imidazoles, triazoles and tetrazoles. The invention also relates to a zinc coated metal element for reinforcement of a cement matrix and a method for inhibiting the evolution of hydrogen gas at the interface of the zinc coated metal elements embedded in the cement matrix. |
