abstract |
USES OF A PROTEIN FRACTION AND A LIPID FRACTION AND A NUTRITIONAL COMPOSITION, NUTRITIONAL COMPOSITION, AND A QUICKLY METHOD TO ACUTE ACUTE INFLAMMATORY RESPONSE. The invention relates to the use of a lipid moiety and / or a protein moiety for the manufacture of a composition to cause an immediate attenuation of the inflammatory response. Lipid and / or protein stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system centrally or peripherally via the gastrointestinal tract leading to rapid attenuation of the inflammatory response via stimulation of nicotinic receptors by vagal efferents. The lipid fraction preferably contains 6-50 wt% phospholipids and the protein fraction preferably comprises hydrolyzed soy protein or casein or intact whey protein. Additionally, components such as monosodium glutamate or betaine are included to optimize vagal stimulation. |
