| abstract | PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF AROMATIC CARBONATE, AND AROMATIC CARBONATE An object of the present invention is to provide a specific process which allows aromatic carbonates containing diaryl carbonate as the main product to be produced with high selectivity and stable high yield over a period of time. extended industrial scale time of not less than 1 tonne per hour from a dialkyl carbonate and an aromatic monohydroxy compound using two multi-stage continuous distillation columns.
