abstract VACCINIA UNDERSTANDING AN ATTENTED PESTIVIRUS. The present invention relates to attenuated pestiviruses, in particular attenuated BVDV, wherein at least one mutation is in the Erns glycoprotein coding sequence and at least one other mutation in the Npro coding sequence which preferably leads to the combined inactivation of the activity. RNase residing in Erns glycoprotein in addition to inactivation of immunomodulatory activity (under hypothesis) residing in Npro. The invention also relates to methods for attenuating pestiviruses such as BVDV, nucleic acids encoding said pestiviruses, in particular BVDV, compositions and vaccines comprising the attenuated pestiviruses, in particular BVDV of the invention.
