titleOfInvention method for the stable production of an aromatic polycarbonate
abstract A method for the stable production of an aromatic polycarbonate A method for the stable production of an aromatic polycarbonate comprising continuously reacting an aromatic dihydroxyl compound with a diaryl carbonate in a closed reactor piping system, the closed reactor piping system comprising: a plurality of reactors that are liquid tightly connected through a pipe toward an outlet to form an aromatic polycarbonate end product, the pipe comprising one or more tubes, wherein the plurality of reactors includes at least two reactors in series, and at least one safe filter in the reactor piping system pipe or tubes, wherein the or each filter is simultaneously or separately taken out of the reactor piping system and subjected to scrubbing outside the piping system reactors, followed by the return of the resulting washed filter into the pipe or tubes of the pipe-reactor system, the wash being performed with the aforementioned washing agents used in the following order: an aqueous solution of a basic compound, an aromatic monohydroxyl compound, and a molten mixture of an aromatic dihydroxyl compound and diaryl carbonate, the molten mixture containing a basic compound.
