titleOfInvention Method for analyzing the properties of a test specimen of reducible material containing crude pellet or pellet
abstract "METHOD OF ANALYSIS OF PROPERTIES OF A TEST SPECIMEN OF REDUCTABLE MATERIAL CONTAINING RAIL PELLET OR PELLET TYPE". A method for analyzing the properties of a test specimen (A) of reducible material containing crude pellet or pellet type, for optimizing the pelletizing process and subsequent extraction of iron by using an arrangement showing a first device and a second device that can be moved relative to each other, each of which shows contact surfaces (8, 13) facing each other. The method comprises the steps: a) a test specimen (A) is disposed between the contact surfaces (8,13); b) the distance between the contact surfaces (8, 13) is continuously reduced; c) the diameter of the test specimen (A) is measured when the test specimen makes contact with the contact surfaces (8, 13); d) the contact surfaces (8, 13) are further displaced towards each other during compression of the test specimen (A) until the test specimen disintegrates; e) the force that is applied to the test specimen (A) and the time are recorded and stored continuously; (f) the maximum forces are recorded at all points of disintegration of the test specimen; g) the distance between the contact surfaces (8, 13) is increased; and h) the test specimen is removed.
